JM: Is there anything else you would want a friend or family member to know if they have a loved one going to jail?
Timmy: Don't believe the stuff you see on television. That is not true. Your
family member will be fine. Trouble finds those who look for it. I
have seen emotionally handicapped people survive just fine in jail.
JM: Is there anything else you would recommend to a future inmate?
Timmy: Just try to get in a room when you get to the annex. Don't form
any serious alliances with the people that you book in with. If
you are standing alone when you get to The Annex you will be
more likely to get a room. Make this your top priority. Bring
money with you if you know you are going to be staying a while.
Don't order Canteen until you leave the Annex. It can easily get
stolen and it could make you a target. Wait till you get to
Frostproof.
